Bracelets that Give Back – Indigo Volunteers

We love our wanderlust jewellery and we love hearing all the stories behind the pieces that you order. But the thing that we are most proud of is that our charity bracelets help us to give back to those who need it most. Because for some people, travel is not a joy or a pleasure. It is a dangerous necessity to try and find safety.

Indigo Volunteers work to support refugees and people in the most impoverished communities all over the world. Every bracelet we sell helps fund their efforts. Last year, they moved their base of operations to Samos, an island heavily effected by the ongoing refugee crisis. Refugees arrive on Samos by boat after making the terrifying, dangerous sea crossing from Turkey. Many do not survive. Those that do end up living in camps on the island, which are bursting at the seams. Indigo supports that are filling gaps in basic aid in camps, running community centres, mobile medical support, social support, education, goods distribution, providing legal advice and so much more. And they do an amazing job.

We donate 10% of our net profits to Indigo Volunteers to help them to continue their amazing work all over the world. For every charity bracelet we sell, we are helping to fund education, safety, love and care for those who need it most. And the only way we do that is with your help, so thank you. Without you, we could not support them.

Check out this beautiful video created by Iranian refugee Majid Adin, who we saw do his Ted Talk at Tedx Brighton. Hearing him talk about the love and support he has received since arriving in safety was truly inspiring, and made us even more determined to continue to create beautiful bracelets that give back.
